English for the Pharmaceutical Industry
This course is designed to meet the language training needs of professionals in the pharmaceutical industry. The focus is on learning work-related vocabulary as well as improving communication skills required at work, such as emails, teleconferencing techniques, meetings, seminars, receiving visitors and explaining processes and procedures.
The course can include the following topics:
- Product development: Drug dosage forms, categories of drugs, medical devices
- Quality management: Good Pharmaceutical Practice (GxP), Quality assurance audits, laboratory procedures, laboratory safety, Standard Operating Procedures
- Drug safety and regulations: Pharmacovigilance, regulatory documentation, patient information
- Production and packaging: Safety requirements, production processes, packaging challenges
In addition to the above, our trainer can include other topics in the course according to the students' or employer's wishes, for instance, general language issues such as giving presentations or more specific job-related subjects relevant to the students' work. Our courses are always tailor-made to suit the students' needs, schedules and levels. If necessary, we can assess the levels before the course begins.
